Hi!

The following sentences are my personal opinion about the status of
KDevelop2, other team members can have a different point of view.

Yes, you are right. The current development in the HEAD is _only_ done by
Omid Givi and Ivan Hawkes. Both are new ones, but I think this is a good
start point for the next generation. :-) Most people of the old team (which
works 2-3 years on this project) are a little bit "outpowered", which
everybody can understand I think. KDevelop2 is a very complex project so part
time development is difficult, maybe this is one of the reason because the
development process was slow in the last months. For the people who didn't
know it already: KDevelop2 is a complete new IDE rewritten from scratch. With
some small exceptions KDevelop1 and KDevelop2 will only share the name.

In some days we will post a document about the status of the project and some
information about the new component architecture and how to develop for it.
Finishing KDevelop2 will be a hard job, but with the new design it could be
the IDE for everyone on earth.:-)

Don't worry. John Birch and Ralf Nolden are very active to support this
version so I think the branch will be maintained until KDevelop2. :-)

Ciao!
Sandy
