*sigh* no trying to be rude here, but that has been answered a few times 
before. You're running SuSE 7.3, right? The autoconf version (2.5something) 
is wrong. Search http://sdb.suse.de for "autoconf" to get more deatils and 
download a working version (autoconf 2.13).
