Does anyone have an example of using compare in QList.

I am attempting to use QList to control a list and would
like to use the find type funcations.  This means that I 
need to redefind the compare functions in the class.
I would like to redefine compareItems() or 

I am using qt 2.3.1 on SuSe 7.3.  I am not the best at 
redefining virtual methods and using templates.  Can anyone
provide examples or give a good explaination on what to do?
