Well, as said, it's often code from 98 :) so you'll have a rare chance
getting a quick answer because we're usually writing in each others files
where necessary so names don't tell too much. Having a look in the ChangeLog
may help to find out certain things and ask back to the one who put it into
the ChangeLog for info. In this case, I'd say I think John put colored text
output in, so it *might* be for a reason that probably he commented it out.
Did you give it a try uncommenting it and see if something happens ?
