John,

we may need to get you in contact with the one doing the bindings from
emacs to gtk+ and Qt. AFAIK the gtk+ port is almost ready (he gets paid
for it actually) and he's been a Qt programmer before and he gave it a
try with that as well. If emacs is ported over to Qt it should be fairly
easy to put it into gideon if we can figure out a good editor interface
:-)
Also, the new richtext engine in qt 3 is able of emacs indentation and
stuff AFAI remember, you can also evaluate that one for using in gideon.
Hint: this is an invitation for participating on this part of the
project :-)))
