Problems with KDE 2.0

Hi. 

I've just been through something like what your are experiencing now..

I have KDE2 running, but i keep the old kde version _and_ the old Qt
version on the system

So in order to compile or run kdevelop, i do

 export KDEDIR=/opt/kde        (this is KDE1.x)
 export QTDIR=/usr/local/Qt    (Qt 1.44)
 export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/qt/lib:/opt/kde/lib

and bingo.., even the icons works...
