Internal debugger

Hi,

I'm new to kdevelop. Just to test the functionality I wrote a small
console app with kdevelop version1.1beta2. After compilation I have no
errors but I'm not able to debug. If I start the internal debugger it
says:

tty not set, gdb can not be started
check setup of /dev/tty* and /dev/pty*

What does that mean? I couldn't find any hint in the doc. Has anybody an
idea?
