How do I include toolbar icons.

Hi!
I'm new to both kdevelop and C++ so I'm sorry if this seems like a silly
question.
I want to include my own icons to the toolbar. I found out in the docs that
they should be placed in the /toolbar directory. OK! But how do I include
the directory into project to get the icons compiled.
Also, what path do I put in the toolbar config statement. Normally it's only
the "iconname" used. Should it be "toolbar/icon name"

I'm running kdevelop 1.0.0 with Mankdrake 6.1.
