Preferably unified diffs (diff -u).

Well, I don't know if he meant this exactly, but it is possible to
run KDE 1 and still compile with KDE 2. It just requires to sort
out the .so files into directories ld.so doesn't use by default
and then set LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
