compiling kdk

Hi there!

Yesterday I downloaded the KDK and started compiling it. Everything woked ok but
i seem to have one strange problem.  when i start kdevelop i get the old 1 beta
2 version that was installed out-of-the-box on my mandrake 6.1 system.
 i already tried to uninstall this rpm , renamed kdevelop in /usr/bin and
compile & install the whole kdk again but this did not work, i still get
version 1 beta 2.
any ideas?
