Kdevelop 1.0 crash

Hello!

Grabbed the Kdevelop-1.0 tarball and compiled it with a little trouble.

Kdevelop crashes (seg fault) on startup on my Debian box. I can see some
windows flashing right before the crash.

I had a little trouble compiling it, configure couldn't find my libpng and
libtiff, so I added them to the Makefiles by hand, since I had them
properly installed. It compiled fine after the changes.

I have installed my KDE via apt from kde.tdyc.com, version 1.1.2
QT is version 1.42.
Other: Debian potato, glibc2.1, kernel 2.2.9, gcc 2.95.1.

Could it be the compiler?
