"undefined reference to `TIFF...'" while linking

Hello,

thanks for answering so quickly.

The following packages are installed:

 libtiff-tool 3.4beta037- 3.4beta037- tiff manipulation and con
 libtiff3g-de 3.4beta037- 3.4beta037- tiff development files [l

When I list the dependencies for libtiff, I get, among others, the following:

 wmaker depends on libtiff3g.
 xemacs21-nomule depends on libtiff3g.
 enlightenment depends on libtiff3g.
 kdenetwork depends on libtiff3g.         

All these work fine here.

There is no file on my computer with the name libtiff.so.3.4 though.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.
