i dont think so. In actual beta 1 this bug still exists.

(i reported this because my RH 5.2 configure scripts has problem to
recognize my system type. So i have to add --host=i686-gnu-linux to
configure... dialog. But when i am rebuilding sources, this options is
not taken ...)
