The interesting files are in kdevplatform.git:
./shell/openprojectdialog.h
./shell/openprojectdialog.cpp
./shell/openprojectpage.h
./shell/openprojectpage.cpp
Note there were updates to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360295,
though. I think instead of fixing just the the contents of the embedded file
dialog, we rather want to turn that into a standalone platform-specific file
dialog.
This isn't trivial anymore, rather complex as a starter task. I suggest
looking around in the junior jobs listing again, looking for other bug reports
in case you'd like to work on simpler tasks.
