    After making the changes  that you suggested in the comments i tested it to check whether it was working fine.I noticed a very strange behaviour i.e sometimes the messagebox gets displayed twice ,this never happened when i was using int for doing this.
    
    I tested the same thing again using int(the solution in the previous diff)  and it worked fine.
