Help to understand/fix Kdevelop Crash

Unfortunately I'm not into the ItemRepository code at all. In fact, it's mostly Milian who 
has a clue there (and David, who's the original author).

I never got my head around actually studying that code closely to figure out what it is 
doing...

So, guys, any idea what's wrong?
