Show some love to the Subversion plugin

So, I've just spent a bit time on the re-activating the plugin.

I just enabled it again -- compiles fine

Actually, they succeed.

Reported upstream, will be fixed. It's only an issue on Ubuntu, which kept an 
old patch around.

Still like to see someone spending a bit time polishing and double-checking if 
the plugin still works as intended.
