source formatting: what is supposed to be automatic now?

perhaps of note here: after toggling the checkbox, the setting takes
effect on newly opened files only, thus the effect of the checkbox can easily
be missed (at least by me it was :-) probably seems obvious to someone
who knows how kate is integrated).
