Ah, good we talked about it :-) Remember that I'm just trying to reverse
engineer KDevelop to write the documentation ;-)
That said, I really appreciate the hint. How does this look:

That begets a question, however: if I just type along, Kate's autocompletion
tooltip seems to open up automatically, but to get KDevelop's I need to hit
Ctrl+Space. Is that true? And can that be changed so that I also get
KDevelop's tooltip automatically? That's the one I'm really interested in,
after all...
