GSoC idea : Revive autotools module

From my experience in the real world <tm>, I'd say the goal is too diffuse. 
I'd go after "get that specific project to be importable using the autotools 
support", and then pick a project which is not extremely complicated. 

Then you can have a more complicated project as a possible extra.
