Release Schedules

Hey all,

I think it's time for me to put my release maintainer hat on...

1) I think I'll release 4.1.1 next week. Nothing required from your side
2) I think we should start discussing a release schedule for KDevelop 4.2 
ASAP. KDE 4.6 KDev 4.1 won't work in KDE 4.6 and above, and 4.6 will be 
released on 26th of January 2011, a mere two months from now more or less.

I think we should release at least two betas of 4.2 and one RC as usual. Lets 
aim at a release just before/right with KDE 4.6 so users + distros have a 
clear upgrade path.

I'd hence propose:

12/12/2010: release of beta 1
12/26/2010: string freeze, hard feature freeze, release of beta 2
01/09/2011: release of RC 1
01/23/2011: release of KDev 4.2

Opposition? Feedback?

I'll also go through bugs we should fix before 4.2. Imo there is only one show 
stopper left, the deadlock in the new ForegroundLock which I hope to resolve 
with David eventually... Lets see!

Also, we need to discuss for how long we are going to support 4.1, imo pushing 
bug fixes there is a good idea if we find more, so users with KDE 4.x, x < 6, 
can still get an improved KDevelop experience every now and then.
