Hi,
My GSoC this year is mainly aimed to do most of the things you say. So it's
Google who's funding that.
If you want to better know what I'm doing, I can send you my application or
just search in google's SoC portal, but it mainly involves easing the import
of projects from communities, provide information regarding the community
once it's imported and help the user to contribute back to the community.
I didn't plan to add such item in the Help menu's but once the GSoC's
finished we could consider to do so, why not? :)
Hope that helps.
Aleix
