Personally I'm not sure a beta label would be apropriate for a project that
just merged a couple of feature branches/bigger changes. But thats your
decision.

Yes, for continous releases 4 weeks string-freeze should be enough (IIRC I
gave 1.5 months for the initial 4.0 release to get more languages into
shape).

To me as a bystander this sounds all pretty good :)
