Well, this is a netbook with an Atom N270 processor. So, it's not really a 
power horse but still works really well. I now use it almost all the time. 
Thats probably why it is faster with native than with raster. Things have been 
improving on graphics driver front. I see no real slowdown even with desktop 
effects turned on.
