It's used already, and it's within an #ifdef. It's only a minor functionality 
that this adds, so KDE 4.2 will work as well. Btw. there are already some bug-
fixes in the current KDE 4.2 branch that make us depend on KDE 4.2.1 once it's 
out for really good code-completion.
