KDevelop projects and DVCS root

Hi,
Now we get repo path from context menu (if we get file then cat its name
and use parent diectory).
Why don't we use project's root? AFAIK there was some API to get the
root (100% there was function to get project file). Or do you think that
project can consist of several repos?
