That's because the collaboration takes place in a new virtual file, which you 
must first open, by double-clicking the file in the collaboration-tree. You 
will see that it's open by it's strange name(that name will have to be hidden 
by the user-interface by something nicer once kdevplatform supports that)

You must open that virtual file on both sides.
