mailinglist problem?

Well, an announcement would have been nice. Also while I understand your
point I think it would better be handled in the archiving-software, i.e.
Mails sent out are still untouched and the archive hides all email
addresses.

Also this hinders sending private emails extremly or maybe makes it
nearly impossible to write PM's. 

I vote for bringing back the emails.

If it was already decided by the community that this is wanted, I'm
sorry to have bothered you and I'd welcome a link to the thread.
