Purpose of r++ binary

Hi!

What is the purpose of the "r++" binary that is installed by kdevelop?  
I seem to recall it has something to do with C++ parsing, but I don't  
see it being used.

I have run some tests where I replaced r++ by a shell script and it  
never seems to be called, and I cannot find any reference to it in  
KDevelop's .cpp / .h files!

Furthermore this binary has an RPATH hard-coded into it, and it  
segfaults whenever I run it.. so I am left wondering, can it be  
dropped altogether?
