Wouldn't this be enforced by the editor? I'm well aware there are files that 
are a mess, but we never used to have modelines stating what indentation to 
use.

Anyway, I _really_ don't want this flamewar. If people really want spaces, I'm 
sure Kate can fix that for me as well. :)
