I'm having the same problem.  It just started today.  A very strange aspect 
is, I just ssh -X otheruser at localhost and ran the same bits without the 
problem.  Also,  I'm pretty sure I ran KDevelop 3.0.1 cleanly in my own user 
space (removed all sycoca from 3.0.9x-cvs, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc), and had 
the same problem.  I will continue to investigate, and report what I find.
