Don't take this badly, since I am really impressed by the work done on 
kdevelop. I have sent this patch against HEAD for more than a month:

I don't think I'm the only one going into this bad outputview behaviour. 
Maybe the outpuview maintainter don't like the patch but, in that case, 
I'd like to have at least a comment from him.
