Thanks for looking at this. 

Perhaps it is a problem peculiar to my architecture? I am running SUSE LINUX 
9.0, Kernel 2.6.4, KDE 3.2.1 on an AMD64 3200+ processor. 

Also, I'll try a few different GluCat downloads as projects and will see if I 
can reliably reproduce the problem. My guess is that my peculiar C++ coding 
style has bamboozled KDevelop's parser. Or it could be that KDevelop is 
interacting with a problem outside its control, in KDE libraries or the 
Kernel.
