Can you: 
- Uninstall gideon. 
- Delete all kdev* and gideon* files and directories in your ~/.kde directory. 
- Update to the latest CVS. 
- Install it 
- retry 
 
You are the only one reporting this. So there are big chances this this will 
fix it!
