I really hate the auto tools!

I've been banging my head on a wall for a week now trying to solve a 
(lack of) recursion problem myself.
It can be done easily by writing the makefile by hand, but it seams 
impossible to do with the autotools.

Regarding your problem, I have a NULL knowledge of Fortran :( so I have 
no clue how to build Makefiles for it.
I tried for 5 hours or so and all I could come up with was the lousy 
example I gave you :)
