kdevelop + kde3 (suse8) - bug ?

what i did:
create a kde mini project
file / new / qt designer file - enter name / ok

i get the question:
Do you want to load it as ASCII file?

which is -- at least -- confusing; ok i guessed that "no" is
the correct answer because this starts designer

i enter some widgets and the design the best ui ever seen ;-)

in the "file overview" windows the directory & filename is
displayed, but:
on file/save i get a "save as" dialog with no hint where the
file should go and the name choosen above is lost: the dialog
defaults to $HOME/form1.ui

questions:
- is the "ASCII file" question new ? i don't remember this from
kde2. maybe it should be explained "no will open with designer"
or better label the buttons "ascii" and "designer", or if it is
a generic dialog the labels could be "editor" or "ascii" and
  "application" or "external program"

- what should be done that the designer knows the right filename
right away ? is this a designer bug ?

Gustl

ps: just checked: this works (better doesn't work) also with the
newest kdevelop from cvs (head)

It's trivial to make fun of Microsoft products, but it takes a real
man to make them work, and a god to make them do anything useful
