I tend to disagree. The best would be to cooperate and do something better 
than both projects could do alone. I think gideon is the right way to go. It 
is lacking some things, and the experts to add these things are the current 
KDevelop-developers, so forking would not be a good move.

Gideon has a lot to offer, all the language support parts most prominently, so 
dropping it is not an options. And I really would like to get everyone into 
cooperating instead of forking.
