Hmm... please, don't be sad but your patch mainly consists of addons. So it is
rejected for KDE_2_2_BRANCH because we had a feature stop for version 2.1.
If you like to have it in version KDevelop-2.2, please, patch KDEVELOP_2_BRANCH.
If you like to have it in version KDevelop-3.0 aka Gideon, please patch the main
trunk of the cvs (aka HEAD).
You can send a patch containing fixes for crashes, and they likely will get in
2.1.x.

I usually use graphical UIs like Kompare (in package KDESDK) to generate diffs.
I don't know about those tricky command line stuff. ;-)
