changing flags didn't invoke configure

Walter,
all things that you have committed to the KDE_2_2_BRANCH have been
merged also into KDEVELOP_2_BRANCH. Changes not yet merged will be
merged next time. I merge about once a month since development on
KDE_2_2_BRANCH is reasonably slow.
