Sorry, this seemed to be a false alarm. Updating kdevelop from cvs today 
and performing the steps below did not lead to the problems I had the last 
time. Maybe it was caused by the omitted "make distclean" the last time. Or 
it was the fact that I recompiled kdevelop from within kdevelop (No time to 
test it right now.)
