trying to compile kdevelop 3 (gideon)

I am trying to compile the CVS version of gideon but I
keep getting the following error:
"checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.2)
(library qt-mt)
not found. Please check your installation!"

I downloaded the latest version of qt from
trolltech.com (3.0.1!) and couldn't find a more recent
version.

in the lib directory of 3.0.1 Qt, there is no qt-mt
library file...

please help,
