Dominic,

Thanks for the patches - I've just committed them both.

I also like the idea of a context menu for closing files, or an [x] button.  
It seems to me like simply right clicking the tab could be a quick way to 
close the file.

I especially would like to see this since the keyboard accelerators for the 
File menu are especially botched.  "Open" conflicts with "Close All Others", 
"Save As" conflicts with "Save All", and "Open Recent" conflicts with "Revert 
All".
