Yes. Due to the fact that KDevelop is a part of KDE - and now shipping
with KDE - you should consider taking the Konqui.There´s a
konquisdk.tar.gz on ftp.kde.org that contains all the gfx or whatever
these files are called the artists use. Then put Konqui into a kind of
programmers outfit -coffee mug, cigarette, something like that (which is
at least how it looks like here ;-)
The panda would be cool indeed but it´s really hard to make a mascot
convincable if it´s extra for kdevelop- people now know konqui and it
would fit us much more into the picture of KDE in general. My point of
view here is that art sells off besides the quality of kdevelop in the
end so that we can protect and widen the use of kdevelop as the standard
IDE not only for KDE but for C++ as well. Within the next year we´ll get
some competition with Kylix and other stuff so if our efforts should
make sense we should use the time we have left ;-) It´s not about making
money but showing that a free project can do as good as a commercial
one, just like KOffice which still has a long way to go.

;-) he, don´t blame me ;-) I wrote them but I didn´t invent KDE nor C++
;-)
