Bug#2652: Finding X11R6 libraries by configure script instead of X11R5

Problem: Whenever the script configure runs (by kdevelop, when for example i
make a new kde project), it looks for X libraries, and it finds X11R5
version. Kdevelop was built using X11R6 libraries, and i need those ones so
i can compile and run my applications.
My workaround: After configure finishes, i edit config.cache manually and
replace every X11R5 appearance in it with X11R6, and then i run configure
again.
Request: Is there any way that configure will recognize X11R6 libraries ? i
can't get rid of X11R5 libraries because i use a centralized corporate
server and i don't have admins' permissions.
Platform: HP-UX 10.20 (i have set needed environment variables to point to
X11R6 path)
