I found with akonadi console that the tags are stored in "tagtable".
In the one computer that doesn't have this problem, there was one entry:
"Birthday".  I added the others and they now show in the akonadi console
DB Browser, on that computer.

I copied

~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/akonadi/tagtable.frm
and ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/akonadi/tagtable.ibd

from the one machine that doesn't have this problem to one that does.
It didn't make a difference.  Akonadi console still displays nothing
in the DB Browser, even after restarting akonadi.

Any ideas, anyone, as to what I could try next?  Any command to tell
akonadi to check DB integrity? These databases are not accessible by
just doing "sudo mysql"
