I think we are taking about different things. My synchronization is terminating
successfully (at least according to the logs/program output). It might take
some time (depending on the amount of work to do) but after a a few dozen
seconds, it states "Ready" (or better the localized "Bereit" as far as I
remember).
Are you sure, your akonadi is permanently stuck?
After a fresh installation and reimport of the calender it took me almost 10
minutes until my calender was imported finally. Could be an issue with the
speed of the server as well but I first thought it might have a problem as
well. After lunch it was magically done and after that the sync was much
faster.
As far as I understand your other post, there was no sync in a ling time. This
it could be the case that you are suffering from the same issue as me back
then.
