That's be stupid from their part but as Martin notes, they're in a position where they can pull that kind of stunt. What other provider is there that offers so much (and ever-increasing) storage space and such good spam filtering?

This is a valid concern, and voicing it doesn't make it a threat.
FWIW, I'm no longer recommending any desktop environment at the moment because there isn't a single one I am happy with (except my old Plasma4 and Mac OS X 10.9 DEs).

Talking about tones: "Jesus, I [...]" is more than "Martin, I [...]" or "René, I [...]" in English; it conveys a definite and considerable amount of annoyance, esp. in a reaction like the above. The person being replied to may not have felt that (though judging from the quality of his English he must be aware of the nuance) but the English-speaking majority on this list must have.
