Kmail2rc - is there a program to validate the syntax/config data in it?

No, it just means that kwrite's default Line Length Limit is too low for 
the kmail2rc file. We store some settings in very long lines, e.g. the 
recently used addresses are stored as a comma separated list in one 
configuration entry.
