[kdepim-users] Fwd: forward commands greyed out?

It gets weirder: the functionality appears to be gone only in the inbox of one of my IMAP accounts, a GMail account. I can go to the [All Mail] folder and forward the message from there just fine, so it's not related to the message content either (or so I hope) ...
There can be a slight delay before the function is activated in the context menu if I right-click on a hitherto unselected message, is that an indication of what goes awry in my inbox?

Hi,

I use kdepim switching back between several machines, so I don't know when this started, but on one of them I can no longer forward email. The corresponding menu actions are deactivated, and so are the keyboard shortcuts.
The same version (4.13.3) handles this just fine on the OS X/MacPorts workstation;  it's the Kubuntu 14.04 machine that's affected.

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?
