[kdepim-users] what things are there that would make me accept akonadi?

So, what with all the trouble it causes, what are the
***AWESOME*** apps that you get for having Akonadi?

I haven't got any (and the options don't even appear in
systemsettings in KDE 4.6/OpenSUSE 11.4) and its main
contributions seem to be virtuoso-t using lots of system
resources and the lack of a desktop search function. (You may
remember we used to have kerry-beagle, which worked, and now
we have promises of something realsoonnow if we put up with
it a while longer.)

I'm about to build a new linux laptop and there is absolutely
no way I'm accepting KMail2 or anything related in the light
of recent activity on the list.
